Who Am I?
I made my name at Southampton, helping them reach the 2003 FA Cup final.
I was also part of the Everton squad that finished fourth during the 2004/05 Premier League season.
I made five England appearances.
I was once signed by Sheffield United for a club-record £4m fee, and then re-signed for them in 2011.
I also played for Stoke City and Rangers.
I played up front.
The Answer
The answer is James Beattie, whose big breakthrough came at Southampton after being used as a makeweight in a deal that would see Kevin Davies move in the opposite direction to Blackburn Rovers.
There, the striker emerged as a talented young player, reaching double figures in four consecutive Premier League seasons.

Beattie, who represented England five times, would later move to Everton, joining midway through a season that saw them finish in the Premier League’s top four under David Moyes.
However, Beattie never quite won over the Scot and was soon sold to Sheffield United in a club-record deal. He’d repay the faith by bagging 34 goals in 65 appearances during his first spell at Bramall Lane, before returning for a second stint in 2011.
In between, Beattie spent time at Stoke City, Rangers and Blackpool, while he finished his career at Accrington Stanley – where he also moved into coaching and management.
