THE BIGGER PICTURE
The 29-year-old, who has 105 Wrexham goals to his name, is set to sit out early fixtures in the 2024-25 campaign. He has, however, made positive progress in his recovery and is expected to rejoin training before the new season gets underway.

WHAT PARKINSON SAID
Parkinson has said of welcoming his talismanic No.10 back into the fold: “Paul is progressing well and he'll be back out on the grass by Thursday next week [8 August], which is fantastic for us. He's a naturally fit lad and I don't think it will be long to get back and start knocking on the door saying he's ready. I've talked to him and the operation has done its trick and feels so much better, and so it was the right decision to go ahead with it. Touch wood, if there's no problems with it I envisage he'll be back sooner rather than later.”
